The research visit of our PhD student Luca Franceschelli at DLR Institute of Propulsion Technology in Cologne consolidated the collaboration between our teams. Luca worked closely with Dr. Chris Willert, Head of the Engine Measurement Systems Department.
The purpose of the visit was to delve into imaging velocimetry-based real-time flow control. It specifically focused on pioneering experiments using a novel approach for imaging velocimetry with event-based cameras. This work will help evaluate the performance of neuromorphic sensors compared to traditional PIV/PTV technologies.
We would like to extend our graditute to Dr. Chris Willert and his team for their exceptional support and collaboration, working side by side with Luca in the lab. We are preparing a publication with the experimental result, which we are looking forward to submit soon.
